would turn into what is now my fifth year with the company and fourth year as an employee owner. Currently, I am a Project Specialist focusing on meet- ings and events with our corporate marketing team. With a concentration in trade shows, business develop- ment, event strategies, and association relationships, I have been able to lean on all the wonderful parts of my education, background, and experience to develop my role into what it is today. When people hear of my back- ground and current role, some people are surprised, and to be honest, at times I am too! Yet, this is one of the things I have loved most about working for Davey: The option to create a career path to fit your passions. In recent years, I have found that because my background is in biology, I've been able to have deeper connections with clients and bring a unique approach to our marketing team as I find ways to incorporate my drive for sustain- ability in the workplace and business strategies into one. Realizing I needed to enhance my understanding of day-to-day business operations led me to my deci- sion to return to school. In 2021, I applied to Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Florida, to pursue my Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentra- tion in Project Management. Now, over a year into my degree, I am very excited and am looking forward to my graduation this coming December, 2023. Through my MBA I have a deeper appreciation for business that will now pair nicely with my biology background. After graduating, I hope to be able to incorporate sustainable efforts more efficiently and effectively into my role at Davey while expanding our trade- show expertise. While Tampa is not guaranteed as my forever home, I am confident that as long as I con- tinue to stay true to myself, goals, and passions, I'll be able to make a difference for our environment and how we do business—no matter where I end up. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I hope we get the chance to meet in person at a future event! Becky and her boyfriend, Ryan, at the Grand Canyon.
