I know I have said this before, but I am going to say it again, we are making great progress with IDA, and I truly thank all those who are believing and making it happen. "If you believe it will work, you'll see opportunities." anks, Wayne Dyer, for that quote, it sums up our position at IDA so well. In my time with the association, the one common denominator when talking to members is their shared belief in what the IDA means and what standing together can achieve. External factors might have put us under pressure at times but focusing on the opportunities does bring success. "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much." Helen Keller. As in the name of our organization, Independent Distributors Association Worldwide, we are working to develop our reach and expand our global footprint. We represent manufacturers and distributors across the globe and therefore need to provide value that represents our name. To this end, I am going to attempt to add a diff erent fl avour to this article by introducing a second language. Please forgive me in advance if it is not 100% accurate. For those of you who attended the convention in Orlando last year, you will hopefully recall my direction for the IDA to be totally trans- parent in everything we do. ere is also a reason it is called "serving" on a board and that is we are accountable to you the members. To this point, I would like to invite feedback on our progress. Tell us how we are doing, which are the things you are happy with and help us develop the priorities for further growth and value to you. On this subject, we have positions becoming available due to terms ending and sadly the passing of one of our most active board members, Steve Haas you will be missed mate. I am keen to continue and build on the great work already done so please submit your nominations. Last, but certainly not least, the convention preparations are going exceptionally well, and attendance numbers are very good so far. I believe this event is going to be bigger and even better than before so if you have not registered yet, I would encourage you to do it soon. To our international members, I certainly know the eff ort and cost to attend but I know you will be pleased you did and we look forward to seeing you there. See you soon in Phoenix!
