BIG NEWS
for Our Society!
By Leslie Berckes, Executive Director,
Urban and Community Forestry Society (UCFS)
It's official—the Society of Municipal Arborists (SMA)
is now the Urban and Community Forestry Society
(UCFS)! This is an exciting moment in the history of the
organization—and one that has been years in the making.
So, pop the champagne (or non-alcoholic beverage of
your choice) and let us reintroduce you to UCFS—the
longstanding professional membership organization
for the people who make or support daily tree planting
and care decisions in communities across the globe.
