Bucks gear up
for NBA title run
The Milwaukee Bucks are rounding
into championship form. Significant
developments indicate that the
team led by superstar Giannis
Antetokounmpo is primed to compete
for another National Basketball
Association title. In just the first month
of the year, the Bucks:
• Overwhelmed league-leading Boston in a game that
was so one-sided that the Celtics benched their starters
early in the third quarter;
• Saw newcomer Malik Beasley, a healthy Chris
Middleton and fan-favorite Bobby Portis make significant
contributions to the offense;
• Welcomed Jae Crowder off the injury list, adding to the
defense led by Brook Lopez, one of the top shot-blockers
in the NBA;
• Topped off January when Damian Lillard hit a long
three-point basket as time ran out, his first "Dame Time"
performance as a Buck.
Five home games are scheduled in February at the
state-of-the-art Fiserv Forum. Visitors are encouraged
to visit the Deer District anytime for tours, as well as
shopping at the Bucks Pro Shop.
