STiR coffee and tea 23 CosMc's drink menu features multiple add-ons, healthy boosts, and a lot of cold beverages. Consumers are becoming more health and environmentally conscious. They want drinks that improve wellness or serve a purpose such as increased energy or immunity, improved gut health, and extra hydration. While also coming from higher quality, sustainably sourced plant materials. The global wellbe- ing drinks market is projected to grow 6.5% from 2023 to 2032 and was valued at $481 billion in 2022. Cold beverages are now outselling hot beverages across the board. Cold Brew, a newcomer to specialty coffee is the third most popular brewing method in the US. As a result of this, CosMc's flagship location only offers six hot drinks. That's it. Even in the dead of winter people are still ordering slushes and frappes. A look at CosMc's drinks menu reflects these new trends. The Tumeric Spiced Latte can be ordered hot or cold, and the Berry Hibiscus Sour-ade comes with kombucha powder. You can also add a Vitamin C or energy boost to any drink on the menu. Forget 'Supersize' now it's all about 'Personalize' Demonstrated by the meteoric rise in popularity of social media channels like TikTok's DrinkToks, Generation Z and Alpha want things custom-made for them. It's not enough to have a large menu. They want endless options that give them the freedom to create unique flavor combinations that can become viral sensations. CosMc's is happy to give younger consumers exactly what they're craving with popping boba addons, toffee sprinkles, bold tropical flavors, and the vibrant scroll-stopping colors that DrinkTokers can't resist. Despite having just opened and the re- moteness of CosMc's first location the hashtag #CosMc already has over 39 million views. Influencers are driving for hours and waiting in lines around the block to create new CosMc's content. One CosMc's reviewer, Snackolator, posted their video on TikTok and quickly received 1.2 million likes and another 99,000 shares. With several more videos as popular as that, CosMc's has already become a viral sensation. Make it easy, make it fast, and make it good Born between 1996 and 2024, Generations Z and Alpha want brands to be fun, fast, convenient, and customizable. They want to feel connected to their brands in a way that sparks joy and excite- ment. Quality must remain high while service times remain low. CosMc's new multiple window drive-through format uti- lizes advances in technology made during the pandemic to meet those needs. Customers can pay with cashless apps right at the screen and those ordering just drinks are sent to different win- dows than those waiting for food. Having already perfected pro- duction-line food service, McDonald's is determined to push the boundaries and streamline the process even more. According to a report from placer.ai, CosMc's received more than double the amount of visits compared to a regular McDonald's during December. Despite only being open for just three weeks. When broken down by size, the smaller CosMc's, about 2,500 square feet, tripled the number of visits per square foot compared to a traditional 4,000-5,000 square foot McDon- ald's. Proving that a smaller space, operated more efficiently is profitable. Placer's data also indicated that CosMc's did well attracting a younger crowd, particularly those in the 22-29 year old age range. A group that has been frequenting McDonald's less and less. CosMc's is the perfect space for McDonald's to test new trends without upsetting the brand's loyal followers. As the younger generations come into their spending power CosMc's is poised to capture their hearts and loyalty. They're not trying to out-coffee Starbucks or Dunkin's they're out to change the game completely! Customizing drink orders is easy with the CosMc's mobile app.
