The U.S. Forest Service has been a long-term supporter of MFI and helps
support diversity scholarships for attendees. We thank them for their
ongoing support of urban and community foresters from across the U.S.!
I am so, so appreciative of the scholarship I received
to attend MFI. I had the most wonderful and
insightful time at MFI and it blew my expectations
out of the beachy water! The experience reframed
how I look at challenges, both personal and profes-
sional, and gave me tools to tackle them. I cannot
thank enough everyone who put in an immense
amount of effort to make MFI 2024 happen.
I walked away with applicable knowledge, great
memories, and some really solid friendships and pro-
fessional connections. I didn't believe the "MFI high"
I'd heard about would be relevant going into it ... boy,
was I wrong! I came back to work excited and also sad
that I wasn't still on Jekyll Island watching the sunrise
with everyone. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
