Aer a businessman complained about a honeylocust
(Gleditsia triacanthos) with dieback in the upper crown,
Brett O'Brien's crew pruned off the dead wood, then used
a growth regulator to keep the tree small and encourage
lush growth of side shoots. Known as "e Magic Tree," it's
become a beloved local attraction since the City started
festooning the tree with lights in the winter months.
