After our round, we continued our
trip and headed into Traverse City to
check-in at the Hotel Indigo Traverse
City for the next four nights. The
hotel is located across the street
fro m Grand Traverse Bay and
beautiful vie ws of the waterfront.
We lucked out at check-in and were
upgraded to a t wo queen-bedded
suite on the fourth floor because
we were staying for four nights!
We picked the perfect week to go
as the follo wing weekend was the
start of the
Cherry Festival ti me in
Traverse City. With thousands of
visitors co ming in for this i m mensely
popular week-long festival, roo m
rates are extre mely pricey, and
de mand is high. They started setting
up the entire lakefront during the
last couple days of our trip, with the
beginning of the festival starting on
the day we left to head back ho me!
The Hotel Indigo Traverse City
also has a spacious rooftop bar/
restaurant with incredible vie ws of
the lakefront. We spent several days
during Happy Hour just enjoying
a glass of wine or a cold beer and
reveling in the vie ws and sounds of
the waterfront. Live entertain ment
takes place during the evenings, and
it does get cro wded during Happy
Hour and beyond. Loved, loved this
area! My favorite part of the hotel.
