Founded in 1911, it is among the oldest trade associations in the United States and exerts influence in legislation, research, and deal-making. NCA aims to support and advance the coffee industry through advo- cacy, education, and community building. Over the decades, the organization has spearheaded initiatives addressing key challenges ranging from sustain- ability and economic equity to innovation and market growth. In 2024, it launched the NCA Mentorship Program, a six-month pi- lot engaging 18 participants. The overwhelmingly positive feedback highlighted its effectiveness in bridging generational gaps and fostering profes- sional growth. Next Gen mentorship program members meet with Dr. Catherine Cordova at the 2024 NCA Convention.
