Future outlook of AI applications in the tobacco industry The deepening of AI applications is reshaping the value-creation logic of the tobacco industry. Its impact has surpassed mere efficiency gains, expanding into broader dimensions of value. In the future, with the continuous development of AI technology, the tobacco industry will further strengthen integrated innovation with technolo- gies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and cloud computing, building a more compre- hensive intelligent system. At the operational value level, AI brings an improvement in total factor productivity. The "AI Intelligent Assistant" of Xi'an branch under China Tobacco (Shaanxi) Commercial Corporation re- duced legal provision query time from 10 minutes to 10 seconds, a 60-fold efficiency increase; and China Tobacco (Guangxi) Industrial Corporation saves over RMB30 million annually in energy costs through intelligent production scheduling. These improvements translate directly into cost advan- tages and competitiveness for enterprises. The release of data value is even more pro- found. The specialized knowledge bases and busi- ness models built by various enterprises, such as the "Management Standard Knowledge Graph" of China Tobacco (Hunan) Industrial Corpora- tion and the "Laws and Regulations Knowledge Base" of AnYang Branch under China Tobacco (Henan) Industrial Corporation are becoming core enterprise assets. These structured and intelligent knowledge systems not only support current op- erations but also lay the foundation for future in- novation. The creation of ecosystem value holds the most strategic significance. The "AI Little Prince" developed by China Tobacco (Hunan) Industrial Corporation is designed to open its underlying AI platform to the entire company, encouraging various departments to develop intelligent appli- cations, while the shared computing power base developed by China Tobacco (Guangxi) Industrial Corporation lowers the barrier to innovation. This platform-based development model is fostering a digital innovation ecosystem within the industry. The AI practices in the tobacco industry have broad exemplary significance. Its path of "business scenario-driven, data-knowledge fusion, and incremental innovation" provides a replicable paradigm for the digital transformation of tradi- tional industries. As AI technology becomes deep- ly coupled with industry knowledge, the tobacco industry is transforming from a "manufacturing factory" into a "smart enterprise." This process will not only reshape the industry landscape but also contribute valuable experience to the digital transformation of the real economy. In this wave of intelligence, enterprises that seize the opportunities presented by AI technol- ogy will gain the dominance to define the future industry landscape. In this new era, AI is no longer just a tool for improving efficiency; it is the core force reshaping industries. The practices of the to- bacco industry demonstrate that when traditional industries deeply integrate with cutting-edge tech- nologies, they often unleash the most powerful in- novative vitality.
