Pabst Mansion
This month, raise a glass in celebration of
Oktoberfest and learn about Milwaukee's rich
German history with a special guided tour at the
opulent Pabst Mansion.
Tours, which include a selection of Oktobertfest
craft beers, Riesling wine (the Captain's favorite!),
and hearty Milwaukee-style German cuisine, will
be held Sept. 19, 26 and 27. On Fridays the tours
begin at 5pm and on Saturdays they begin at 4pm
and 5pm.
Visit all three floors of the gorgeous Mansion,
which was built in 1892 by Captain Frederick Pabst
and his wife Maria. The 37-room home features a
Terra Cotta Flemish Renaissance Revival exterior
and boasts stunning interiors, elegant furnishings,
exceptional wood craftsmanship, intricate ironwork
and a brilliant fine arts collection..
On Oct. 3 4:30-6pm, enjoy a delightfully spooky
evening at the Victorian Macabre Tea. Sip hot
beverages and sample wickedly tasty treats at the
candlelight-illuminated Mansion.
