StretchLab first opened its doors in California in 2015 and has since expanded nationwide, now operating more than 500 studios across the United States, with over 1,000 licenses awarded globally. With no signs of slowing down, StretchLab continues to provide its signature one-on-one assisted stretching sessions designed to improve flexibility and athletic performance while reducing muscle tension and pain. StretchLab Crown Point and StretchLab St. John, both located in Northwest Indiana, have collectively served the local community for over five years. All StretchLab Flexologists are required to hold a degree, active state license, or certification in a bodywork-related field before completing StretchLab's accredited 50 to 60-hour certification program. This ensures knowledgeable, professional, and high-quality care for every client. StretchLab utilizes Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching, a proven technique that targets the body's proprioceptors—specifically muscle spindles and Golgi tendon organs—to safely enhance range of motion. These are the sensory tissues of the muscle that pick-up changes in tension or weight. PNF stretching is performed using controlled tension rather than pain through a structured hold, press, and release pattern. By activating muscles under tension, this technique helps bypass the stretch reflex, allowing for deeper, more effective stretching without added stress to surrounding tissues. Clients progress through three phases of periodization—foundation, active, and performance—allowing Flexologists to prepare the body for proper movement, improve mobility, reduce tension and discomfort, and ultimately optimize physical performance for specific activities or events. Recognizing the growing number of golfers among their clientele, StretchLab Crown Point and St. John are proud to introduce their Specialized Golfers' Program. Golf requires precision, power, and mobility, and these customized assisted stretching sessions are designed to enhance flexibility in key areas such as the hips, shoulders, spine, and hamstrings. Increase Your Swing Power With StretchLab Golfers' Program!
