PRESIDENT'S POST THANK YOU TO OUR PLATINUM SPONSOR 6 BRUNO MONTESANO, JR President IDA Universal Q1 2026 New Year, New Challenges L et me start by of- fering you my best wishes for 2026, may it be filled with lots of health, peace, happi- ness, and many successes. I feel like the start of a new year is a chance to press the reset button and start fresh. It is only a feel- ing. We never really have the opportunity to reset, but it is really a chance to take a new perspective on future or ongoing proj- ects. Take the challenges that lie ahead of us and turn them into opportuni- ty. Set new goals and aim for something to achieve. 2025 was a year of challenges, and I do think that although 2026 will be a good year for the aermarket, it will also be filled with challenges. We will still have tariffs, risings costs, supply chain issues, market uncer- tainties and a bunch of unknowns, but now we're geared to face these chal- lenges head on. We are a resilient group of people that like a challenge, aren't we… Make 2026 your year you achieve the goals you're setting, to be at your full potential, to do the things you've put on hold for a while, to take time for yourself and your loved ones. Whatever it is you want to do, just do it! In the past issues, I've talked about success, op- portunity, being a light- house to others and I still all of this is relevant. It is for me, on the personal level, as well as profes- sionally, and in my role of President of the IDA. IDA is changing. I need to be at the wheel to navigate through these changes. I am grateful to the Board members as well as our Executive Director for their sup- port and their work to get us to the next level. I embrace change, and so should you. e industry changes and so should the association that is the lighthouse of this industry. You are part of a movement that represents unity in a changing world. You should take pride in being a member of the IDA. IDA is yours. Make it what you want it to be. Reach out to any Board member with your ideas on how to improve the association. Tell us what you want to do, what you want to see, and what committees you'd like to par- ticipate in. I will paraphrase a wise man by saying "Do not ask what IDA can do for you, but what you can do for IDA". Get involved! Have a great year! Be well and keep your eye on the ball. Bruno
