PRESIDENT'S POST THANK YOU TO OUR PLATINUM SPONSORS BRUNO MONTESANO, JR BRUNO MONTESANO, JR President Be well and keep your eye on the ball! Bruno What's ahead – Everyone seems more preoccupied then ever, and this in many aspects of their lives. Stress levels are high; whether it is family, work, financial, health or un- certainty about the future. And it seems to be worldwide. The problems might be different from one part of the world to another, but they create anxi- ety nonetheless, whether it be war, death, famine, sickness, viruses, weather related events, everyone's stress is different but it seems that whatever the obstacles are, most find a way to cope and move ahead. We, as business owners, managers and operators, we have our own challenges. They might come from within; we must deal with finances, com- petition, market changes, sup- ply chain challenges, and let's not forget our most important resource, our employees. Human resources are front and center of all our companies, now more than ever. We must be aware of how every person in our organizations are feeling and how we can assist them when they have personal chal- lenges that could, and probably will, affect their performance at work, and therefore affect the overall performance of your business. We know how to be resilient. Resilience is what we are made of. This resilience is what built our companies and our industry. We need to use that strength that we must lift our people up, to boost their spirits and give them the sup- port they need to push through whatever their own challenges are. I have mentioned it before, and I truly believe it, one of our most important resources we have are the people we have within our organizations, and that is why we need to be supportive. The leadership of the IDA feels that it must look after its membership and the people who make up the Association. We, as a group, have to sup- port each other. That is what the Association was created for. We were, and still are, in- dependents in a world of huge actors in the heavy equipment industry, and we succeed by sticking together, sharing ex- periences, helping each other out, and having a good laugh while breaking bread. And al- though the time have changed, and are still changing, IDA evolves without ignoring its past. We need to move forward adapting to new technolo- gies and challenges, all while looking out for each other, and even more so for the people that are in organizations. Our force is unity. Caring for each other should be everyone's priority. So yes, IDA adapts to today's reality, and we can see a shift in our group; every year new faces, younger faces, new leadership in our different member companies, second and third generation of the family business. Whatever the background of these new faces, they come with the same drive as the founders of IDA – keeping independent after market alive and well. Let's embrace this together. Our organization is special. Let's keep it going for future gen- erations, and let's look after each other. I hope to see as many of you as possible at our next Convention in San Diego. It will be another memorable event made special by your presence. 5 IDA Universal Q3 2026
