Designer Oliver M. Furth has quickly become a
fixture of the Los Angeles design elite. Now, he
looks to make his mark on the international scene.

Don't ask interior designer Oliver M. Furth
about sectional sofas and glass coffee tables. "I
grew up in Los Angeles in the 1980s," he says. "And
there's a place for everything, but that's just lazy."
Bearded, bespectacled and, by his own admission,
"easily bored," Furth brings a keen eye and an intellectual rigor to a profession that often trades on instinct and theatrics. "I love art, architecture and
design—and not that much else," he says.
Indeed, after studying industrial design, architecture and art history, he worked in the 20th century
