Plan ahead for 2014 Michigan Chapter AFA table top show The Michigan Chapter AFA has set the date of Saturday, March 22, 2014 for its annual table top trade show next year. The site is the same as usual for the long-running show, the Holiday Inn Hospitality Suites. It is located in Livonia, Mich., due north of the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. More details will be announced in the coming months. Ted, a gas station owner, was enjoying his morning coffee when he saw a huge flying disc land at his gas station. The letters "UFO" were printed in bold on the sides of the craft. A green alien stepped from the saucer and asked the attendant to fill up his machine. As the station owner stood openmouthed, his young attendant nonchalantly filled up the tank and said goodbye to the alien as he took off. "Do you realize what just happened?" Ted asked the redhead attendant. "What happened?" asked the redhead. "Didn't you see that alien in the saucer?" Ted said, irritatingly. "Yes," said the attendant. "So?" "Didn't you see the letters 'UFO' on the side of that craft?" asked Ted. "I did," said the redhead. "So what?" "Don't you know what 'UFO' means?" asked Ted. The attendant rolled his eyes. "Gimme a break, boss. I have been working here for 5 years! Of course I know what 'UFO' means – Unleaded Fuel Only." He will conduct two 2-hour sessions introducing their StrongArm Park DC operator and reviewing the Slide and SwingSmart operators. The first session with begin at 10 a.m. PST with lunch immediately after. The second session will begin with lunch and the training portion follows at 1 p.m. PST. The content for both sessions is the same. NAFCA slates 2014 Fence Training School The North American Fence Contractors Association (NAFCA) has scheduled its 2014 Fence Training School for Feb. 6-7-8, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. The exact location will be announced in the near future. The cost of the Fence Training School is $595 for NAFCA members and $795 for non-members. Areas to be covered include access controls, chain link fence, farm and ranch fence, ornamental fence, HTP rail and strand, safety practices, tools and equipment, vinyl and welding. NAFCA noted that the school offers an opportunity for fencers to learn about many styles of fence, and the tools and techniques used to install them.
