Music Under Glass delights with tunes and light show MUSIC UNDER GLASS, the popular series of concerts at Milwaukee County's landmark horticultural domes, is in its fifth season and continues every Thursday through April 3, 2014. Held in the show dome from 6:30-9:30 p.m., the concerts include light shows set to music and played during breaks and following each performance. About 14,000 people enjoyed the 2012-13 concert series and this season's lineup is expected to bring a new high in attendance. "Music Under Glass celebrates area talent and brings music and culture to our residents," said Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele. "This is an amazing weekly event that transforms The Domes into a winter 'getaway.'" Completed in 1967, the three beehive-shaped horticultural domes at 524 S. Layton Blvd. quickly became a landmark for visitors to Milwaukee. In 2008, a new LED lighting system illuminated the domes nightly and led to development of light shows inside the show dome. Admission to Music Under Glass is $6.50 for adults and $5 for youth 6-17. Food and beverages are available for purchase from the Zilli Hospitality Group. For additional information, visit or call the Domes at 414257-5611. Scheduled bands and themes: Dec. 5: Tom Brusky Polka Band, polka variety band.
