Downtown Minot area The downtown Minot area, located just east of Broadway and mostly between the railroad tracks and Burdick Expressway, offers a unique blend of arts, gifts, crafts, antiques, dining, professional and specialty shops. This is a place where you will be able to enjoy a gourmet cup of coffee and spend hours on end just taking in the atmosphere. Here are some of the businesses you’ll find downtown: Major roads, major shopping! Broadway (Highway 83 as it goes through Minot) and the frontage roads for US Highway 2 provide the two main travel routes through town—and some of the best areas to find retail shopping! These shopping areas are where you’ll find some of our big retailers like Menards, Walmart and Staples, as well as strip malls, furniture stores, boutique stores and more.
