LAUNCH INDUSTRY NEWS REC BOAT HOLDINGS INTRODUCES TWO NEW JET BOATS seating for added comfort and convenience and full, custom gauges to monitor time on the water. The GT207 is built on the Glastron SSV. Rotax power options, ranging from 200-250 hp, provide power for the new model. The GT207 comes standard with a custom matched trailer. Rec Boat Holdings has rolled out two additional jet models for their Glastron and Scarab brands. The Glastron GT207 and the Scarab 215 follow the introduction of their smaller sister models, GT187 and Scarab 195. The company announced an aggressive launch plan last May for both brands. The introductory models were in production within four months and now the expansion to each brand offering comes eight months after announcing its entry into jet propulsion models. All are powered by BRP's Rotax 4-TEC 1503 jet propulsion system. SCARAB 215 The company expands the new Scarab line of jet boats with the Scarab 215, a twin-engine 21-footer with plenty of room for on-water activities. As with the recently introduced Scarab 195, this model will be available in three configurations — 215 Standard, 215 HO and 215 HO Impulse. Power options on each are twin 150-hp Rotax with the Scarab 215, twin 200-hp Rotax with the Scarab 215 HO and twin 200 hp or 250 hp Rotax with the Scarab 215 HO Impulse. The new Scarab 215 has exclusive Versa-Lounge transom seating allowing passengers three different ways to enjoy the back of the boat. Custom upholstery and color accents continue Scarab's youthful design language. All come standard with custom-matched trailer. "We're excited to be showing these new jet boat models at the New York National Boat Show, as well as other key shows around the world," said Roch Lambert, Group President, Rec Boat Holdings. GLASTRON 207 The open bow GT207 jet boat has a spacious cockpit with storage and amenities for all day fun. Measuring 21 feet, 10 inches with 8-foot beam, the GT207 has a full, low profile extended swim platform adding extra legroom and wakeboard prep area while on the water. The transom seating area has full seating with angled backrests and an easy non-skid walk-through into the cockpit. Once inside, the oversized cockpit has a U-shape for extra space. The Glastron helm features comfort ride seating with optional bolster SEARCH SCORECARD Dominion Marine Media collects data via its Boat Trader, Boats.com and YachtWorld websites.
