CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014 Planner 53 Terramac, booth 70028 Terramac will showcase the RT9 rubber track multipurpose crawler carrier, which features an 18,000-pound carrying capacity, a 5.1-pis ground pressure and a 230-horsepower Cummins diesel engine. Suitable for hauling personnel, fuel equipment, debris or other materials over rough terrain and soft or wet ground, the RT9 also climbs steep inclines. A dump bed option offers the ability to fold down the side of the bed, enabling side-loading of pallets. The rear bed posts are also removable, allowing the operator to convert the RT9 into a flatbed in just minutes. The base unit of the cab and carrier are customizable, and front and rear bolt-on attachments simplify modification for a range of applications. The RT9 measures 17 feet 7 inches long and 8 feet 5 inches wide. Excluding mount, the rig stands 9 feet 3 inches tall with a 20-inch minimum ground clearance. With the mount, the carrier's speed ranges between 2.5 and 6 mph, and it has a 10-foot turning radius. Talbert Manufacturing, booth 2474 Specialized and heavy-haul trailer manufacturer Talbert Manufacturing will feature a range of models at ConExpo, including the 55SA with 18-inch deck height 3+1 Nitro, the 55HRG Tele, the 75-ton 3+3+3 Nitro, the 5053TA and the 6-Axle Steer Dolly, which provides steering control and extra capacity to handle self- supporting superloads. The 60-ton dolly is especially useful for heavy low-riding materials such as bridge beams and steel girders.
