These five (Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, and Oregon) are ahead of the curve in at least one area of digital technology. They’re finding new, more relevant, and more efficient ways to interact with their stakeholders. Many have learned from the private sector’s under- standing that adopting new technology reduces cost, increases productivity, and raises an organization’s profile with consumers. All have agreed to share their best practices so that the industry can see what’s working and learn from their experiences.
