42 Landscape and Irrigation April 2014 www.landscapeirrigation.com Ferris ComfortControl DD Powered by a 15-, 20.5- or 23.5-gross-hp.* Kawasaki V-twin engine, the Ferris ComfortControl DD features a low, wide stance that results in excellent traction and stability. Self-contained dual transmissions are individu- ally fan cooled. With ground speeds of up to 6 mph, it mows up to 3 acres per hour (based on 80-percent effi- ciency). The Cruise Control Bar with independent steering override allows the operator a multitude of handling options. Available with a 36-, 48-, 52- or 61-inch cutting width, the mowing deck is easily adjusted by a quick- adjust lever. (*All power levels are stated gross horsepower per SAE J2723 as rated by Kawasaki.) Gravely Pro-Stance 36 With patent-pending features, including integrated transmissions, a dial height-of-cut adjustment and a foot pedal deck lift, the Gravely Pro-Stance 36 is small enough to fit within gates and tight spaces without sacrific- ing productivity and results. Like all models in Gravely's Pro-Stance line, the 36-inch model includes integrated Hydro-Gear transmissions for a low center of gravity, allowing operators to easily handle slopes or uneven ter- rain. Integrated transmissions also reduce leak points and eliminate cross contamination. The dial height-of- cut adjustment allows the operator to change the deck height from 1 to 5 inches at the control panel without stepping off the machine, enhancing productivity. Operator comfort is maximized thanks to a large operator platform and pad. The foot platform can be flipped up for use as a walk-behind, and the foot pedal deck lift simplifies raising and lowering the deck. The isolated platform reduces vibration and operator fatigue. Honda HRC Commercial Series The Honda HRC Commercial Series offers 2 models: the self-propelled, hydrostatic-drive HRC216K3HXA and push-type HRC216K3PDA. The performance of the HRC Commercial Series is enhanced by offering Honda's ex- clusive MicroCut twin-blade mulching technology. In addition, the push model HRC216K3PDA is powered by Honda's GSV160 overhead cam engine, while the self-propelled HRC216K3HXA (pictured) employs Honda's GXV160 engine. Both engines boast all-aluminum construction and a cast-iron cylinder sleeve. Standard fea- tures of both mowers include a dome-shaped deck design, which facilitates both bagging and mulching while delivering finer clipping particles; offset twin-blade MicroCut System (only 2-blade 21-inch commercial mow- ers); front bumper for deck and engine protection, as well as convenient transport tie down; and durable, light- weight, 9-inch NeXite wheels with axle protectors. John Deere QuikTrak stand-on commercial mower John Deere's QuikTrak stand-on commercial mower is designed to meet the changing needs of professional landscape contractors by providing compact size, and best-in-class stability and operator positioning on a stand-on machine. The QuikTrak offers the shortest design available on the market, and it is also one of the lightest, making it highly maneuverable around obstacles and contours in the turf. The zero-turn capability gives it best-in-class productivity, and it's easy to trailer, allowing crews to have multiple mowers on a job site. The QuikTrak is available in 2 different series — the B Series and R Series. The B Series features a 22-hp. en- gine with a 7-gauge, fabricated 52-inch fixed deck, run-flat front tires, and sealed front caster bearings. The R Series is available with a 22- or 23.5-hp. engine with 48-, 52- or 61-inch 7-gauge fabricated floating decks. The R Series also offers a quick height-of-cut adjustment and cast-iron front forks. Masport M800ST The Masport M800ST is a 21-inch walk-behind mower with a heavy-duty steel chassis and deck. This mower is powered by the Briggs & Stratton Professional Series 850 engine. The Smartchute easily converts the mower from rear bag to side discharge to mulch. Single-handle height of cut may be easily adjusted between 1 and 4 inches. Commercial-grade gearbox is axle mounted for superior maneuverability and smooth opera- tion. Other features include Zone Start, adjustable wheel bearings, Ergo Cam locks on the heavy-gauge han- dles and reinforced Aero catcher. Equipment Focus
