We asked in our BRAVA Blast, and this reader shares her potentially potent cure: my mother's all-time cough medicine standby when i was a kid: cut an onion in half, place in a sauce dish, sprinkle with a little sugar and place on top of the refrigerator (it was warm there and out of the reach of kids) to let it "draw its own juice." When the process was complete, a teaspoon of the juice cured the cough in no time…and didn't taste half bad! –Diane Matson, Stoughton Need a remedy?
