KEY SPORTS Brewers look like contenders with strengthened pitching THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS are expected to be contenders in the National League’s Central Division thanks to a blend of new and familiar names. New manager Ron Roenicke, who came to the Brewers from the Los Angeles Angels, is work- ing with a much stronger pitching staff as a result of off-season trades that were considered among the best in baseball. Zack Greinke, a former Cy Young Award win- ner, came to the Brewers from Kansas City and Shaun Marcum moved south from Toronto. They join Yovani Gallardo, Randy Wolf and oth- ers in a solid pitching staff. Power-hitting Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun got off to a fast start in April.
