ON THE Shelf 2 1 Bacardi USA just launched Bacardi Mango Fusion, a rum featuring a refreshing mango fl avor backed by a hint of orange. Mango Fusion joins Bacardi's lineup of fl avored rums and is available nationwide in 750 ml size for a suggested retail price of $14.99, in addition to 50 ml, 200 ml, 375 ml, 750 ml, 1 liter and 1.75 liter sizes. The company is featur- ing a digital multimedia campaign, product sampling and other promotions to support the launch. 2 Dewar's Scotch has launched a new bottle design across all of its expressions. In conjunction with the new look, Dewar's also debuted a multimedia campaign under the tagline "True Scotch Since 1846," which will also carry through to all pos materials. The brand hopes to tap into its authenticity and heritage with the new design, which is highlighted by the Celtic truth knot embossed onto the glass of every bottle. It shows three interlocking Ds that represent the three men who created the company - John Dewar and his sons, John Alexander Dewar and Tommy Dewar. In addition to a new label with customized typefaces, the packaging for Dewar's Signature also includes a certifi cate of au- thenticity signed by Master Blender Stephanie Macleod, the seventh person to serve as Master Blender for the Dewar's range since 1846. 3 Brancott Estate, owned and imported into the U.S. by Pernod Ricard, has launched a new lighter wine range, produced with 20% fewer calories and containing only 9% alcohol by volume: Brancott Estate Flight Song. The Australian wine a features Marlbor- ough Sauvignon Blanc, which has pink grapefruit and passionfruit notes; and a Marlborough Pinot Grigio, highlighted by fl oral, pear and lemon notes. Suggested retail for both is $14.99 for a 750 ml bottle. 4 Santa Rita wines, imported from Chile into the U.S. by Palm Bay International, has released new vintages of three of its luxury wines. Santa Rita Triple C 2008 ($39.99 suggested retail), from the Maipo Valley, is 55% Cabernet Franc, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Carménère. The three varieties are vinifi ed separately and stored in new, medium-toast French oak immediately after malolactic fermentation is completed. Each wine is then aged separately for 17 months and blended just before bottling. Santa Rita Pehuen 2007 ($69.99), from Colchagua Valley and Maipo Valley, is 95% Carménère and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon; it features fresh black fruit and spice.
