Our specialty is securi- ty consulting and design engagements involving sen- sitive or high-risk facilities requiring high-level analysis in a collaborative team environ- ment. Generally speaking, we are engaged for years on com- plicated projects that require MCA to provide regulatory sup- port. In the healthcare sector, Michael Crocker in addition to medical office buildings at one end of the spectrum, MCA pro - vides design and support services for vivariums (animal research and testing facilities) and new hospitals. In the case of hos- pitals, the new facility will be required to meet state health department standards and The Joint Commission (TJC) guide- lines, (formerly JCAHO). MCA has completed projects serving LNG re-gas terminals in the U.S. Whether a U.S. based LNG facility is land-based or sea- based, each facility is required Profit from Keyscan’s new CENTRALL CENTRALLY MANAGED ACCESS CONTROL to meet a daunting array of federal and, in some cases, state regulations. We provide the regulatory support to develop security risk analy- sis, communicating to the appropriate parties on a need- to-know basis the results of the risk assessment process and correlating stakeholder’s feedback from a wide variety of sources. Utilizing the API- NPRA methodology of risk assessment, MCA also serves oil, gas and chemical facilities in the United States and over- seas. We have experience in the burgeoning field of wind farm energy security and the security of oil and gas plat- forms in the Gulf of Mexico. MCA has extensive experi- ence with security systems supporting oil and gas pipe- lines in North America. MCA has also supported security systems designs for buildings devoted to commodities trad- ing and our bread and butter has long been security risk analysis and security systems designs for commercial office buildings, generally class A in a central business district or campus environment. Why do you like jobs that involve the regulatory ele- ment? We prefer it because the Now every door becomes a window of opportunity Keyscan's centrally managed access control allows Integrators/Central Stations to confidently offer access control as a web based service. Toll Free 1.888.539.7226 www.keyscan.ca regulatory element is wrapped around the design element. Many integrators can complete a security system design project but are wholly unqualified to develop, communicate and defend the security risk analysis process on which the designs should be based. Most integra- tors will simply skip this step. However, the risk inherent in truncating the design process will become solely that of the client/end user after the integra- tor has completed their work and moved on. MCA offers an effective alternative to that shortsighted approach and our insurance and expertise protects our clients moving forward. We provide a full 360- degree view by looking at all the accumulated demands on the end user/owner. The more complicated the regulatory environment, the more value MCA has the potential to real- ize on behalf of our clients. Your company has expertise in all of these regulatory areas? We look at the field or disci- pline and form a project team based on subject matter experts selected for the project who are supported and directed by our own highly qualified internal resources. We invest in educa- tion in [various regulatory] SPECSPEAK see page 11
