That's certainly the case with Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya's Veil, currently enshrouding Philip Johnson's iconic Glass House (for 10 minutes at a time) in New Canaan, Connecticut. Six-hundred nozzles unleash a dense fog, which meanders around the residence and surrounding hillside for half an hour, creating a transcendent experience for viewers.
