62 • JUNE 2011 • WORLD FENCE NEWS RealScape is a new, web based, three dimensional outdoor project modeling and visualization program that shows customers what their prop- erty would look like with various fence and gate options. “It will elevate the quality of your proposals from just another bid to a uniquely professional web page pres- entation,” the system’s marketer, Soft- ware Design Associates of Billings, Mont., said in a news release. “RealScape is heavily geared to fencing and includes hundreds of vinyl, ornamental, and wood fence styles. RealScape will breathe life into your residential and commercial fence project proposals.” According to company president Ray Pearson, “You design each proj- Industrial • Commercial • Farm • Ranch Certified Fencing Materials Interstate Highway • Federal or State Land Projects Oil Field Sites and Open Pit Mining • Residential Right-of-Way Gate • Field Fence • T-Posts/Wood Posts • Barbed Wire • Tubular Right-of-Way Gates • Portable Fencing Systems • Corner/Anchor Posts • High Tensile CROSSLOCK Game Fence Field Fence Non-Climb Horse Fence CG650 2", 16 ga. Re- alScape processes that information to create a three dimensional representa- tion of the job site and the fence proj- ect. You can navigate throughout this world and look at the project in in- credible detail from any elevation or angle. It is so accurate you can fly in- side a post to see the rail penetration or go underground to look at the post embedment. “Your customers can view their proposed fence from any location, any elevation or any angle. You can show alternatives in size, style and color, all of it in three dimensions. Your cus- tomers will see exactly what their fence options are going to look like in a project environment very similar to their own yard,” he said. RealScape also has a Photo Over- lay mode where fences and other Real- Scape assets can be overlayed onto digital photographs of the actual proj- ect site. RealScape makes this easier than other programs because the 3D fence image imports with the perspec- tive already calculated. With a few minor axial adjustments, the overlayed photograph is ready to be saved. “Once the first picture is done you can quickly and easily change fence types, styles, heights and colors, sav- ing each photo overlay to be included as part of your RealScape web page proposal,” said Pearson. “By laying out a simple flightpath in the RealScape 3D world you can create a spectacular multimedia video tour of the proposed project. Any MP3 file can be attached to the video as an audio track. RealScape also captures screen shots of interesting aspects of the project, how the fence looks run- ning uphill or down or views from the patio, porch, or kitchen window.” RealScape then dynamically cre- ates a unique, professional presenta- tion quality web page for each proposal. The RealScape presentation web page can include a video, screen shots, digital photo overlays, secured documents like contracts, lists the fence names and specifications, has a history of the company, a biography of the salesman, and a secure communi- cation link that fires e-mail and text messages between the customer and the salesperson. When the web page is published, RealScape automat- ically sends an e- mail and a text message, with a link to the page and a secure PIN, to the cus- tomer. Web page proposals can even be sent to web enabled cell phones. When customers respond, the sales- man receives an e-mail and a text mes- sage. Sensitive areas of the web page, like communication, are protected via the PIN. Customers can share this web page with friends, neighbors and fam- ily via social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter or Linked-In. The web page proposal has its own lead capture system to connect you with new hot prospects coming out of these connections. RealScape’s cloud based architec- ture allows you to access the program and your projects from any compatible computer. RealScape requires Win- dows Vista or Windows 7 and a com- puter with a dedicated graphics card. RealScape also has a Home  Many items in stock - caps, finials, rings, wall mounts, column bases …..  Custom made parts  Short volume runs  In-house tool & die shop Phone: 301-334-9100 Fax: 301-334-7846 www.cpalmerdiecastinginc.com Viewer download available. The Real- Scape Home Viewer is a feature lim- ited version of the RealScape program you have. It enables customers to change colors but not to change the layout or the style of the fence. They can also change color schemes on the houses or other models in the project world. Home Viewer en- ables customers to navigate anywhere in the project world to look at the job from any angle. They can take their own screen shots and produce their own videos (all still branded to your company of course) for sharing with friends, fam- ily and neighbors through e-mail, text messaging and social networking sites. This provides them with “play” value and can help them to visualize other projects that they may have in mind for their property. This is another way that RealScape facilitates viral marketing and adds value to your pro- posal. RealScape 3D outdoor project modeling program designed with the fence industr y in mind
