Pernod Ricard USA and Southern Wine & Spirits of America launched a national effort to promote retailer engagement with The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility (FAAR), a national not-for-profi t funded by distillers aimed at reducing drunk driving and underage drinking. Pernod Ricard USA's full sales force will team up with more than 1,000 Southern salespeople to distribute information to retail accounts that can be shared with consumers about key FAAR programs, including, which offers tips on how such factors as body type and food consumption can affect Blood Alcohol content (BAC) after alcohol consumption. The team is expected to cover nearly 15,000 stores nationwide. Pernod Ricard also announced the purchase of the Sonoma wine brand Kenwood from F. Korbel & Bros. for an undisclosed amount. The sale includes all assets of the Kenwood Vineyards brand: the trademarks, inventory, winery facilities and estate vineyards, as well as additional acreage of chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, sauvignon blanc, zinfandel, syrah, malbec, pinot blanc and petite sirah planted throughout Sonoma County. The brand sells more than 500,000 9-liter cases annually. The winery operations will be managed by Pernod Ricard Winemakers, the premium wine division of Pernod Ricard.... Bacardi Limited appointed Michael J. Dolan as Interim Chief Executive Offi cer…. Edrington, the international spirits company that owns brands including The Macallan, Brugal rum and Cutty Sark, has launched Edrington Americas, a wholly-owned sales, marketing and distribution company for the U.S. As a result, Edrington now controls all distribution of the company's leading brands in the U.S., and has signed long- term agreements with the leading U.S. distributors …. Old Nassau Imports, LLC, the spirits company known Double Cross Vodka, appointed D. Ross Arthurs as Chief Executive Offi cer. Arthurs succeeds Old Nassau Imports CEO and co-founder Dr. Malcolm M. Lloyd, who died in an automobile accident in April…. The E. & J. Gallo Winery was awarded the Corporate Social Responsibility Award from the Procurement Leaders, a global network serving procurement and supply chain executives representing more than 650 major corporations. Gallo was recognized for its cross-functional Corporate Social Responsibility program. Hardy USA, Ltd. has become the U.S. importer and distributer of Hawaii-based Kai Spirits …. Budweiser has once again launched patriotic, limited-edition red, white and blue cans and bottles for the summer, and military families will benefi t from sales. Through its special packaging, Budweiser is making its largest ever, single-year contribution to military families with a $3 million donation to Folds of Honor. Since partnering with the Folds of Honor Foundation in 2010, Budweiser and its wholesalers have contributed nearly $10 million for military families, accounting for thousands of scholarships across the country….Another committed charity is the Gary Sinise Foundation, whose mission is to support and honor veterans and fi rst responders and their families.
