Roca Patron is currently rolling out into the U.S. market, with suggested retail prices of $69 (Silver 750 ml), $79 (Reposado 750 ml) and $89 (Anejo 750 ml). 6 Anchor Distilling Company has released an extensive lineup of Kavalan whiskies, produced in Taiwan.The seven expressions now in the U.S. include Kavalan Classic (86 proof with a suggested retail $89.99; this is a single malt whiskey with hints of honey, tropical fruits, pear, vanilla, coconuts and suggestions of chocolate, the company says); Kavalan Concertmaster (86 proof, $99.99; it ages in Portuguese ruby, tawny and vintage port wine casks); and Kavalan King Car Conductor (92 proof, $119.99; the palate is sweet and rich, with vanilla, banana and coconut fl avors). The remaining expres- sions are in limited supply. They include Kavalan Ex-Bourbon Cask (110-120 proof, $159.99; a complex, multi-dimensional single malt whisky, with vanilla, fruit and coconut highlights); Kavalan Vinho Barrique (110-120 proof, $159.99; fully matured in used American oak wine barrels that have been toasted and re-charred); Kavalan Sherry Cask (110-120 proof, $184.99; matured Oloroso sherry casks featuring complex aromas and tastes of dried fruit, nuttiness and spices); and. Kavalan Fino Sherry Cask (110-120 proof, $424.99); matured in top fi no sherry butts). 7 Kendall-Jackson has added a Red Blend and Sauvignon Blanc to its Avant collection of wines, joining the brand's Chardonnay. The Red Blend fea- tures forward fruit fl avors of ripe raspberry and black cherry, with a silky mouth-feel, the company says. Cold-fermented in stainless steel, the Sauvignon Blanc is said to be bright, crisp and fresh, with nota- ble fl avors of lime, tangerine and passion fruit. The wines are available for a suggested retail price of $14 for the Sauvignon Blanc and $17 for the Red Blend. 8 Trinchero Family Estates, renowned for its top-selling lines of wines, has just released a trio of vodkas. Building on the name of the success- ful Ménage à Trois line of wines, the company launched Ménage à Trois Straight Vodka, Ménage à Trois Triple Berry Vodka and Ménage à Trois Triple Citrus Vodka. All three vodkas go through a proprietary triple fi ltration process and are six-times distilled. The Berry is a blend of raspberry, pomegranate and cranberry, and the Triple Citrus is a blend of lemon, orange and lime. The new vodkas carry above-premium pricing. 9 Three Olives, the superpremium vodka imported from England, has introduced a new fl avor: Three Olives Jacked Apple, which com- bines the fl avors of ripe red apple and cinnamon spice. Three Olives is quadruple distilled from English winter wheat and its portfolio currently includes more than 24 fl avors. Available nation- wide, Jacked Apple is available in 750 ml ($21 suggested retail), 1liter and 1.75 liter sizes. 10 Russian Diamond Vodka, from RSG Trading, LLP, uses a proprietary "57 stages" of fi ltration method, including ancient schungite and rock crystal, smoke stone and rare onyx. It also uses multiple fabric filters that smooth the taste, biological filters, such as needles of Siberian pine tree and larch tree, herbs and grains in the process. Featuring a sleek, diamond-cut package and an Italian velvet label with textured metallic lettering, the brand's look suggests a luxury product.
