celebrations Nicki Thorn and Tim Hasler While avoiding a downpour by hiding under the famed Cloud Gate sculpture in Chicago, Tim Hasler made the most out of an unexpected moment by proposing to girlfriend Nicki Thorn. The couple married on Oct. 2 in Madison’s Allen Centennial Gardens. Nicki is the daughter of Karen Thorn and Keith Du- arte, and Tim is the son of Mary Jo and Fred Hasler. The couple lives in Rochester, Minn. They settled their argument with a compromise: creating a unit all their own when they wed on Oct. 8 at James Madison Park. Erica is the daughter of Janet and Jay Olson, and Eric is the son of Jeanine Peters and Kenneth Stenglein. The couple resides in Madison. The pair, who first met in college but only began to date after running into each other years later, tied the knot on Jan. 22 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Middleton. Kristi is the daughter of Debbie and Larry Rose, and Nick is the son of Doris and Allan Sauser. The pair resides in Fitchburg. But atop a volcano in Maui, Jeff Bloom added a bit of sparkle to their sur- roundings when he brought out a ring and asked for Shelby Gale’s hand in marriage. The pair wed on Oct. 2 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Madison. Shelby is the daughter of Lyn- nette and Don Gales, and Jeff is the son of Nancy and Paul Bloom.
