Feast with the beasts at Milwaukee County Zoo VISITORS WILL FIND a feast for all the senses at the 2014 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel a la Carte at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Presented for the 30th year, the event runs Aug. 14-17 and showcases 28 restau- rants offering a range of cuisines. Restaurants include Trinity Three Irish Pubs, Joey Gerard's, Lake Park Bistro, Water Street Brewery, Aladdin, Saz's, Joey's Seafood and Grill and Wasabi Sushi Lounge. Adding to the fun are top local and national acts performing throughout the grounds. Headliners hit the stage at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Activities are set for every member of the family. For example, Kohl's Color Wheels provides special art activities for kids, while at the Giraffe Village Wine Tent, adults can sample a glass of wine while enjoy- ing sounds from popular local bands. At Sting Ray and Shark Bay, sponsored by Sendik's Food Markets, families see the sharks and sting rays up close and personal. The cost is $2 per person, after regular Zoo admission. All musical entertain- ment is free with admission, while food tickets and Zoo rides and special attractions can be purchased for an additional charge. Hours are 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $14.25/Adults; $11.25/ Juniors (ages 3 to 12); Children (ages 2 and under) FREE; Seniors (ages 60 and older) $13.25 and parking $12. Memberships are valid at a la Carte.
