"Stay together. Come to the meetings. Go to the social functions. Because your friend is also your partner in the business you have chosen to be in and it's going to take everybody working together because there are some tough times coming." So as we reflect on the 30-year anniversary of the passage of the Alabama Motor Fuel Marketing Act and more than 25-years with a successful UST Trust Fund, it becomes our job to make sure that those who follow us know of the hard work and personal sacrifices that were necessary to provide two pieces of legislation that remain critical to our member's businesses some 30-years later. But more than that, we need to educate them on the fact that this association played a critical role in these efforts by helping coordinate our members into a strong cohesive group that was able to accomplish together what they could not accomplish individually. Events like our Summer Convention, the Gulf Coast Food & Fuel Expo, our Fall Outing and Winter Membership Meeting are where the relationships are developed that help us not only survive a few battles but actually win the war.
