Brand Names: Fuel Armor, Low Pour Comments: Beckett’s FuelArmor,™ is a once a year individual tank fuel treatment. FuelArmor™ contains stabilizers, dispersants, corrosion inhibitors and anti- oxidants. It is a complete fuel protection package in a bottle. The stabilizers and antioxidants effectively reduce the chemical activity of the fuel and the dis- persants keep any particles suspended in the fuel so they do not accumulate on internal surfaces and result in fuel related service calls. The corrosion inhibitor protects the inside of the tank and piping from cor- roding [rusting]. FuelArmor™ is safe, containing no carcinogens or solvents, and any contact with the skin should simply be washed off with soap and water. They form gelatinous deposits which constitute the sludge found in fuel oil storage tanks. This matter will clog the fuel lines and cause excessive wear to the fuel pump. Fuel is unable to burn efficiently, causing partly wasted fuel, as well as an accumulation of carbon in the chambers. Other serious problems that occur are water going into the fuel due to condensation, i.e. temperature changes, leaks in the tank and poor housekeeping. In addition, water accelerates rusting of tanks. Acid-forming substances in fuel oil are the source of yet another problem causing corrosion of equipment. You can do something about getting the aforementioned problems under control by using FPPF Chemical Co., Inc.’s fuel additives as your preventative main- tenance program. FUEL ADVANTAGE/AVALUX P. O. Our premier additive is Avalux, a multi- functional additive that stabilizes fuel, reduces sludge and fuel-related service calls, cleans nozzles and prevents tank corrosion. Avalux was jointly devel- oped by a major oil company and Octel America. Its performance was field-tested over several years by a leading Connecticut heating oil retailer. Avalux enabled this retailer to reduce its fuel-related service calls by almost 60 percent. G. H. Berlin / Avalux also sells various cold flow improvers (55 gallon drums, 2½ gallon jugs and quart bottles) for storage tank and truck tank winter operability. So as to enable blend- ing of additive into fuel, G. H. Berlin / Avalux sells, finances and distributes additive injection systems, for both bulk plants and delivery trucks.
