The wines are created using wood staves instead of barrels, which is a lower impact on the environment and allows more robust fl avors, according to the company. The three central coast varietals included in the launch are 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2013 Chardonnay and 2013 Pinot Noir. Each is available at a suggested retail price of $14.99 per bottle. Hawaii-based Kai Vodka is now being distributed in the U.S. by A. Hardy USA. Kai offers a collection of six rice-based spirits, including vodka, lychee, lemongrass, coconut pandan, lemongrass ginger shochu- soju and young coconut shochu-soju. The recipe is manufactured in Vietnam and based on a 300-year-old recipe. The average suggested retail price of the six spirits is $24.99. Slow-Aged Nicaraguan rum Flor de Cana has unveiled a new bottle and label design. The company's portfolio consists of light and dark rums including Extra Seco 4, Anejo Oro 4, Gran Reserve 7, and Centenario 12, 18 and 25. Flor de Cana has been distilled and handcrafted from estate-grown sugar cane by the same family in Nicarague since 1890.
