6 Oil Prophets My, how time flies! It seems like just yesterday that I started as Chairman. This has been an active year for our Association, and many practical and fun events have come and gone. Our most recent fall outing for golf and shooting was a fun event with perfect weather and great attendance. The practical part of this event was it helped raise our PAC funds so badly needed during an election year. Let me thank all those who participated and the generous sponsors for their support. Our Association has been hard at work on many varied issues including ADEM, Department of Revenue, Ag & Industries and of course our membership. The addition of Mississippi to our Food & Fuel Expo has helped the event grow significantly. A lot of hard work has made these events happen. All members are encouraged to become involved and get active in our efforts to make things better for our businesses and our daily lives. There is a place for everyone, so please be encouraged to volunteer your time, ideas, suggestions, service and have a little fun while doing it. Finally, please make your plans to attend the General Membership Meeting scheduled for December 9-10, 2014, at the Winfrey in Birmingham, Alabama. It will be another fun filled practical event that you are sure to enjoy. It also marks the beginning of a new year for our Association and the opportunity for you to pick and choose a committee to serve. Along with the ending of this year and the beginning of the new year, it will be time for the annual dues invoicing in November. Our dues are one of the best investments with the most return we can make. It all comes back to us as our efforts are multiplied for the benefit of our businesses. Thank you for your loyal support, and please know that your participation is greatly appreciated.
