SAVE FUEL Rolling resistance accounts for approximately 35% of fuel consumption. The lower the rolling resistance, the less fuel is consumed. Rolling resistance is related to the heat generated by the tire's sidewalls and tread design as they flex and squirm. Because MICHELIN® X One® tires have two sidewalls instead of four, and because they're made using advanced technology, they can reduce rolling resistance by up to 30% compared to duals, saving you up to 10% in fuel.2,3 For most fleets, fuel costs represent the single highest non-payroll operating expense. That's why MICHELIN® X One® tires are so revolutionary—they deliver fuel savings of up to 10%. REAL-WORLD ROAD TEST In fact, the most fuel-efficient drive tire in North America2 a MICHELIN® X One® compared the MICHELIN® with the MICHELIN® X One® XTA® LHD™ Fuel Max™ XDA® XZA3® tire and the MICHELIN® fuel-efficient tires: the Bridgestone® R195F tires and the Goodyear® G305™ and G316™ THE RESULTS3 tire against the leading competitors' most R287, M720 and LHS™ G395™ LHT™ ® Fuel Max™ Fuel Max™ ® , tires. THE MICHELIN MPG ADvANTAGE: 7.2% over Bridgestone 8.3% over Goodyear ® Goodyear ® MPG – 6.35 The 3,000-mile real-world road test was commissioned and supervised by an independent third party for testing protocol and integrity. NEED EVEN MORE PROOF THAT MICHELIN® X ONE® TIRES CAN HELP INCREASE FUEL SAVINGS? A four-year study sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy's Vehicle Technologies Program, conducted by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, verifies that wide single tires can save you up to 10% in fuel. The 383-page report found that wide single tires like MICHELIN® X One® tires are more fuel-efficient than duals on heavy trucks, saving 6% overall and 10% with a fully loaded tractor trailer. So the more you haul, the more you save. (See michelintruck.com for details.) HOw MUCH COULD yOU SAvE?
