Following this ceremony, Bern- stein will deliver the keynote. The best-selling author of near- ly 50 sports books, Bernstein is an award-winning peak performance business speaker who has keynoted conferences on four continents. He's spent the better part of the past 20 years studying the DNA of championship teams. His program, "The Champion's Code: Life Lessons of Ethics and Ac- countability from the Sports World to the Business World," not only il- lustrates what it takes to become the "best of the best" but also explores the fine line between cheating and games- manship in sports as it relates to val- ues and integrity in the workplace. Here are details: Certified Fence Professional (CFP) Exam Time: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. The CFP designation recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to quality and improving standards within the fence industry. It is designed for manufacturers, suppliers, owners, project man- agers, estimators and office personnel to acquire a good understanding of specifications, material standards and installation techniques that help assure a first-class product for the customer. Re-certification is required on a three-year interval with a point system and minimum continuing education requirement. A complete Study Guide with practice tests that help identify strengths and weaknesses will be sent immediately after you apply. Members, $250 and non-members $595 Certified Automated Gate Operator Installer (CAGOI) review & exam Time: 1 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. Review 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Exam Proctor: IDA When properly specified and installed, gate systems need to provide the security level anticipated by the customer; but they must do so in a safe and reliable manner. The purpose of this program is to promote the safety aware- ness and professionalism of the gate operator installers. This designation has specific eligibility requirements prior to sitting for the exam. The Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA) is the certifying body. Certified Automated Gate System Designer (CAGSD) exam Time: 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Proctor: IDA The CAGSD examination will be given by IDEA, the certifying orga- nization, at the end of the AGSD school. Fence Installer World Championships The ever-popular Fence Installer World Championships allow chapter members to complete in six important installation practices for the coveted championship buckle. Categories are board spacing, chain link splicing, chain link bias cutting, post hole dig- ging, post spacing and vinyl fence as- sembly. The competition takes place on the trade show floor and will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4 (5 p.m. – 9 p.m.), Thursday, Feb. 5 (10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.), and Friday, Feb. 6 (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.). Vinyl Manufacturers Association activities VMA Accreditation Program – 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. New in 2014, the Vinyl Manufacturers Association launched an accred- itation program whose purpose is to verify customers (distributors, contrac- tors, code officials, consumers and specifiers) that the products of accredited companies meet or exceed industry standards. Learn how you can become a part of this program. VMA Annual Meeting and Round table – 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. The Vinyl Manufacturers Association represents the interests and serves the needs of all companies involved in the manufacturing, fabrication, and installation of vinyl fence, deck and railing. VMA is making great strides in accreditation, standards and codes for vinyl fence, deck and railing products. This is an open meeting for professionals interested in an overview of the goals and accomplishments of the vinyl fence, deck and railing university.
