44 • OCTOBER 2011 • WORLD FENCE NEWS New Jersey Eagle Scout's project benefits teen support facility Kyle Scanlan of Eagle Scout Troop 59 in Toms River, N.J. recently completed his final project, and what a project it was. Along with a number of friends, troop members and donors, Scanlan replaced an aging fence at Ocean's Harbor House, a safe haven for teenagers in crisis. Scanlan told the Toms River • The Original Ultra Reliable and Secure Hydraulic Slide Gate Operator • Fully Enclosed Hydraulic Motors • Few Moving Parts Linear AE-1000 Telephone Entry System Full Featured Primary Access Control For Apartments, Condos, Dormitories, Office Buildings and Gated Communities Times that when he heard that the good spiritied organization was in need of help, he knew it was the right thing to do. The volunteers constructed the new 160-lineal-foot vinyl fence using materials donated by Interstate Wood and Vinyl Products. Safeguard Fence Co. delivered the materials, and gen- eral manager Frank Aitoro III, instal- lation manager Gerard Roussell and foreman Jose Elise assisted with the installation and oversaw the work to be sure it was done right. Scanlan is a senior at Toms River East High School, and plans to study biomedical engineering in college. He has been in Scouting for 11 years. Send us your cartoon ideas for Pete and Jake! In fact, StrongArm M30 earned the highest M30 rating possible: P1, indicating that the truck had penetrated less than a meter. According to Younce, site techni- cians said that the crash was extremely "soft," and that the arm had slowed the truck so much that very little debris spread far from the point of impact. That was highly unusual, they said. Brian DeNault, HySecurity presi- dent, lauded the work of his engineer- ing team before and after the crash test. "We're getting used to platinum performance from our engineers," said DeNault. "This puts HySecurity in a great position as we introduce two to three new products a year, each with its own 'wow' factor." DeNault said his confidence was strong enough that he didn't attend the test. He added that with the success of the StrongArm M30 testing, they have begun filling a sizeable backlog of or- ders. The company will introduce a crash wedge and several non-crash products beginning in early 2012.
