There was a case before the U.S. Dept. of Commerce alleging that Canada may have been subsidizing the country's lumber industry and asked that a 27 percent tariff be placed on Canadian softwood imports. October 1991 Here are some articles and items that were being covered in the Octo- ber 1991 issue of World Fence News, 20 years ago this month. • The cover photo for October showed a custom gate that looked like piano keys. It was fabricated by Ray Statz for his wife and is located at the Qual Line Fence Corp. headquarters. The dimen- sions of the gate are 4 ft. high by 16 feet long. The unit weighs in at 300 lbs.
