Jim Lucci Production Manager ...... Darlene Woehnker Contributing Editors in Memoriam ..... Herb Borner and Jim Hart Rely only on the latest edition of ASTM's Standards for Fence Materials and Products The 13th edition of ASTM International's "Standards for Fence Materials and Products" has been available for several months, and if you have not yet obtained a copy of the lat- est and most recent standards, you should do so as soon as possible, particularly if you deal with projects designed and specified by architects, engineers and other professionals. It is critical that you (and the project's owners and designers, of course) work only with the most recent standards, many of which have been updated and revised since the last edition, published in 2012. For convenience, you will find the 13th edition of the Standards for Fence Materials and Products de- tailed on page 56 of this month's issue, where you will also find ordering information. As mentioned above, everyone involved in the specifying, designing and installation of a project should be working from the same edition of the fence standards. This would include manufacturers, contractors, architects, project designers and engineers. While ASTM standards are voluntary, they are widely ref- erenced and used throughout the industry, and you must be certain you are complying with the most current standards so that everyone is on the same page, so to speak.
