34 • NOVEMBER 2011 • WORLD FENCE NEWS With construction of new mill, veteran pipe and tubing manufacturer set to re-enter marketplace PHOENIX — David Van Den- burgh, who owned and operated sev- eral tube and pipe mills until divesting them in 1997, has announced that he is getting back into the fence tubing and pipe business with a new manu- facturing company, American Tube & Pipe Co. Van Denburgh is building a 34,000-square-foot facility on 27th Avenue in Phoenix, which should be open and ready for business by Janu- ary 2012. "Despite the tough economic times, we believe that manufacturing in America and the fence business in particular has bright prospects and we see this investment as a way to diver- sify and augment our various business interests," he stated.
