The acquisition will strengthen Atkore's existing barbed tape product portfolio and market presence in the perimeter security market, said John Williamson, president and chief exec- utive officer of Atkore International. Linear formalizes its new OEM/ODM development unit CARLSBAD, Calif. — Linear LLC has announced the formation of its new Business Development Group, which will support a growing number of new markets and existing customers interested in customized product solu- tions ranging from individual compo- nents to private labeling (OEM), and new product design and development (ODM). "We're making this group offi- cial," said Todd Hokunson, vice-pres- ident of the Business Development Group. "Linear has informally pro- vided OEM services for many years, but with a growing volume in requests from customers and the changing mar- ket landscape, Linear decided to lever- age and formalize these service offerings for new markets." The Business Development Group offers fully integrated design, engi- neering and manufacturing processes, and will focus on serving large, na- tional systems integrators. Organizations that have developed their own intellectual property but do not have the resources to act on it now have a dedicated resource to get their ideas to market, Hokunson said.
