(KHI), the global parent company of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (KMC), has announced several changes to its executive management. The Motorcycle & Engine Compa- ny's current president, Mr. Shigehiko "Scott" Kiyama will be succeeded by Mr. Kenji Tomida, effective April 1. Mr. Kiyama spent many years working at KMC's Irvine, Calif., headquarters, where he arrived in 2002 to oversee Kawasaki's planning, vehicle inven- tory and production management in the U.S. He was assigned the duty as KMC's president at the start of 2006, where he remained until his return to Japan in 2009. Feb. 21-22 marked the second weekend in a row of Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties Regional Showcases, which began Feb. 14-15 in Arlington, Texas. Each showcase joined about 150 vendors with dealers and Parts and Drag reps and regional managers. And each location pro- vided the Wisconsin-based distributor with Dealer attendance increases, vendors step up branding BY DAVE McMAHON EDITOR IN CHIEF Anyone who wanted to gauge the strength of the American V-twin marketplace needed only to take a few steps inside the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati.
