The replenishment program aims to ease the ordering process for those at Blossman and Bergquist, which in turn provides a seamless transaction for customers look- ing to purchase products. In Sept. 2014, Bergquist went "live" with two Blossman locations as part of this pilot program. The idea of the replen- ishment program is to keep product in stock at all times so customers will never have to wait for equipment. Bergquist ships inventory to the Blossman locations where employees track daily usage. This information is stored and transmitted in a batch once a week. An invoice is automati- cally created once the batch is received and is used to send a monthly invoice to Blossman. As needed, Bergquist will replenish the inventory at the locations. After weeks of massive snowstorms, the factory and headquarters in wilmington, Mass., is buried in snow. seven consecutive snowstorms have dropped 95 inches of snow on the region – the second snowiest winter in history. Combine that with many days of temperatures in the single digits, it's been a long winter and there are still weeks before it will be over. Yet despite the tre- mendous obstacles, the factory only shut down for one day in the face of the most dangerous blizzard. "This winter is crazy" says stan Caron, CNC machine operator in the scully factory. "My life consists of getting up early to shovel snow, going to work, getting home, shoveling more snow and going to bed. we are all so done with all this snow, but spring is coming!"
