AHRI provides regular reports on the sales of a variety of equipment. Residential Storage Water Heaters—U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters for October 2014 increased 5.2%, to 385,093 units, up from 366,125 units shipped in October 2013. Residential electric storage water heater ship- ments increased 8.5% in October 2014, to 391,317 units, up from 360,695 units shipped in October 2013. U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters for November 2014 increased 3.9%, to 362,082 units, up from 348,542 units shipped in November 2013. Residential electric storage water heater shipments increased 3.0% in November 2014, to 338,796 units, up from 328,873 units shipped in November 2013. U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters for December 2014 increased 12.0%, to 445,720 units, up from 398,059 units shipped in December 2013. Residential electric storage water heater shipments increased 19.4% in December 2014, to 416,557 units, up from 348,872 units shipped in December 2013. For the year-to-date, U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters increased 4.4%, to 4,471,903, compared to 4,282,104 units shipped during the same period in 2013. Residential electric storage water heater shipments increased 6.7% year-to-date, to 4,277,329 units, compared to 4,008,478 units shipped during the same period in 2013. Commercial Storage Water Heaters—Commercial gas stor- age water heater shipments increased 2.9% in October 2014, to 7,569 units, up from 7,357 units shipped in October 2013. Commercial electric storage water heater shipments decreased 5.6% in October 2014, to 6,498 units, down from 6,883 units shipped in October 2013. Commercial gas storage water heater shipments increased 19.9% in November 2014, to 7,169 units, up from 5,979 units shipped in November 2013. Commercial electric storage water heater shipments increased 10.3% in November 2014, to 5,213 units, up from 4,728 units shipped in November 2013. Commercial gas storage water heater shipments increased 4.3% in December 2014, to 8,134 units, up from 7,795 units shipped in December 2013. Commercial electric storage water heater shipments increased 2.6% in December 2014, to 6,269 units, up from 6,112 units shipped in December 2013. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of commercial gas storage water heaters increased 6.4%, to 94,247 units, compared with 88,539 units shipped during the same period in 2013. Year- to-date commercial electric storage water heater shipments increased 6.2% to 73,458 units, up from 69,160 units shipped during the same period in 2013. Warm Air Furnaces—U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces for October 2014 increased 7.7%, to 285,148 units, up from 264,807 units shipped in October 2013. Oil warm air furnace shipments increased 18.3%, to 4,656 units in October 2014, up from 3,936 units shipped in October 2013. U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces for November 2014 decreased 0.8%, to 265,299 units, down from 267,433 units shipped in November 2013. Oil warm air furnace ship- ments increased 1.1%, to 4,076 units in November 2014, up from 4,031 units shipped in November 2013. U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces for December 2014 increased 10.7%, to 266,087 units, up from 240,438 units shipped in December 2013.
