Due to its unique string handling during the packaging phase the T2 eliminates the problem of garbled strings. Tea bags are stored in retail boxes in a tidier, more elegant way. When compared to a double-chamber, using a T2 cuts the cost of packaging material by 40% and the initial investment by half without compromise. Those who prefer a double- chamber solution will find the T4 Modula, a medium-speed tea bag machine that produces "the most beautiful bag in the world" since the tag is placed on the front side with the string underneath. The T4 produces knotted tea bags without metal staples or glue making them practical and biodegradable. The K200 will sell for around $125. It can brew either a single cup or a four-cup K-Carafe using the larger carafe capsules. The machine comes in several colors including strawberry, sandy pearl, turquoise, violet, and orange zest. It has a 40-oz. reservoir and brews coffee in nine sizes from 4 oz. to 30 oz. A spokesman said "The compact design allows even more consumers to experience our most innovative system yet." It is available in May. Satake New Portable Sorter Satake has introduced a portable, full color RGB optical sorting machine for small and medium industry applications. The PIKASEN-FMS 2000 brings to the coffee industry Satake's reliable, highly efficient technology at an affordable price, to add value in smaller specialty coffee operations. The high resolution (0.14mm/pixel) camera captures product in 16 million shades. When used in conjunction with Satake's Smart Sensitivity (3S) system this means it will more easily reject subtle defects and minimize rejection of good product, increasing yield, allowing a higher percentage of coffee to be exported for a quick return on investment. Coffee beans are fed down a 240mm chute by a high volume delivery system that can consistently sort from 1 to 4,000 pounds per hour. PIKASEN is very adaptable, mounted on wheels for portability and easily cleaned. The long-life, low energy consuming lighting system has an average lifespan of 20,000 hours and an integrated aspiration system optimizes sort. Learn more at: www.satake-usa.com/pikasen-alpha
