Feldman is editing and writing a series of books for the International Interior Design Association called "What Clients Want." "After interviewing Richard Wright for the "On the Block," I can relate to Wright's obsession with collecting "junk." A New York City apartment doesn't allow for amassing or storing large items however I have a cool collection of vintage postcards and matches from a prestigious group of restaurants that are now long gone." 60 CULTURED CONTRIBUTORS SABRINA WIRTH has been working within the intersection of art, design and architecture for the past 10 years as an art consultant, curator, writer and graphic designer. She has curated numerous exhibitions in her native New York, including the Yale MFA Photography Thesis show. "I studied at Williams College in the middle of the Berkshires, so I feel a personal connection to Stephen Hannock's paintings, and to this particular exhibition. I actually became friends with one of the artists in the exhibit, Gregory Crewdson, when I went to visit the set in Rome where he took the photo that is now on view at Thomas Cole's house." Our new contributing editor, NASIR KASSAMALI founded Luminaire, the design-forward design showroom, with his wife Nargis in 1974. "I dreamt of having something like a church, where people would come to experience good design," says Kassamali, who continues to fulfill that dream at Luminaire's three showrooms in Coral Gables, Miami Design District and Chicago. ASHTON COOPER is an artist liaison at Maccarone in New York. She previously worked as a staff writer and editor for artinfo.com and Modern Painters and has also written for Art + Auction, Art in America, Hyperallergic, Pelican Bomb and Jezebel. In this issue, Cooper profiles artist Adam Pendleton and explores MoMA's ambitious show of Latin American architecture. "There was a fantastic link between the stories I wrote for this issue. Both artist Adam Pendleton and MoMA curator Patricio del Real talked with me about rethinking histories of exclusion."
