long served up quixotic
installations. After all, who
doesn't recall their Prada
Marfa. Now right inside
Galerie Perrotin's Upper
East Side outpost, the
artists have transformed
that space into the surreal
bedroom of their imagined
Norman Swann. So smack
dab in the center of the
exhibition "Past Tomorrow"
is Swann's black lacquered
four-poster bed with a
gold-plated vulture
surveying the scene from
atop one of the bedposts.

Russell Page is a forgotten
hero of garden design,
having created verdant
spaces for everyone from
Lady Bird Johnson to the
Duke and Duchess of
Windsor during his long
career until his passing in
1985. The Garden
Museum in London has
collected years of
ephemera, notes,
photographs and drawings
to commemorate Page in
"The Education of a
Gardener: The Life & Work
of Russell Page
1906-1985,"
through June 21.
