4 Oil Prophets I want to thank everyone who attended the Gulf Coast Food & Fuel Expo. It was a HUGE Success thanks to the turnout from all three states. It was a complete sellout of all the vendor space. Hopefully, we will have to expand the size of the room next year. Numerous vendors have already requested that we extend the show hours next year by at least two hours. That is a good problem to have, and I think we can make that happen. Anyone who did not get the chance to come this year, please make plans to be there next year and you will not regret it. Now that the legislature is in session, we are working diligently on several bills that could impact our industry. A state gasoline tax has been proposed as well as a cigarette tax bill that would triple the state tax per pack from $.425 to $1.25. There are several County bills that we are watching also. We will keep you all posted on the turnout as the session proceeds. Plan your summer vacation now by marking your calendar for the Summer Convention June 28-July 1 in Sandestin. It is sure to be plenty of fun in the sun. As always, do not hesitate to contact me or the association office if we can help in any way. Thank you for your continued support.
